Who We Are and What We Do
Forgeyecho opened on Rue Saint-Jean in Québec City in 2018 as a deliberately small studio — four specialisations, a measured number of appointments per day, and a team selected for technical rigour rather than speed. We offer hair cutting and styling, bespoke hair colour, curated skincare treatments, and nail services. Each of these disciplines is practised by a specialist, not a generalist working across all four. This focus is not a limitation; it is the mechanism through which the quality holds. The studio interior reflects the same values — warm amber-gold tones, natural light, clean surfaces, and a quietness that allows both the client and the practitioner to concentrate. We serve clients across Québec City and the surrounding area, including regulars who travel from Lévis and Sainte-Foy specifically for colour and skincare appointments. Our typical client is someone who values the result above the ritual, who has tried other options and arrived here looking for something more consistent and more considered.
How We Work — and What We Don't Promise
Our process across all services is diagnostic before it is prescriptive. We assess your hair's condition, your skin's current state, or your nail plate's health before recommending anything. We have completed over 3,200 colour appointments since opening, and the most consistent feedback is that clients feel genuinely heard before the work begins. Each practitioner carries formal training in their discipline — our colourists trained in Montréal and Toronto, our aesthetician holds certification in European facial techniques — and all continue to develop through regular professional education. We do not offer spray tanning, lash extensions, waxing, or permanent makeup. We have made those choices deliberately, because spreading attention thin produces uneven results. If your requirements fall outside our four disciplines, we will refer you honestly to another specialist in the city rather than attempt a service we do not practise deeply. Results in skincare and colour depend on factors including your starting condition, at-home care, and biological response — we will always be transparent about realistic timelines and outcomes before you commit to a course of treatment.
